The GSE team arrived safely in Chicago O'Hare airport 20 min ahead of schedule. The flight took about 9 hours so the team arrived at noon in Chicago local time. The team had a bite to eat at O'Hare during the 2 hours of waiting for the next flight. The 1 hour flight to ST Louis Lambert airport then went smoothly. The team was received at Lambert airport by district governor Gordon D. Jumper and his wife Jean along with GSE Chairman John Gibbons and his wife Sherry. Brief introductions were carried out and then the team was transported to Glen Carbon for a light supper at Sacred Grounds Coffee Shop before being transferred to their host families in Edwardsville. It is safe to say that it was a very long journey. The team is very grateful for the warm welcoming received upon their arrival in ST Loius!
